Event Staging:

The pre-race activities (packet and t-shirt pick-up, race night registration company gathering etc) will take place on the outdoor patio and inside of the Charles Room at McLoone’s Boathouse . The post-race party featuring food, beer and music will be staged on the outdoor patio, on the lower level grass in between the patio and reservoir, in the Charles Room and in the main indoor bar area. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating will be available for all participants.

Race Course:

The 5k run/walk course will be two (2) loops around the reservoir which is located directly behind McLoone’s. The start/line will be about 300 yards up the road from McLoone’s at the Paddle Boat area with the finish line right in front of McLoone’s. We will have two (2) waves. Wave #1 is for runners who will go off from the Paddle Boat House at 6:25. Wave #2 is for walkers who will go off from behind McLoone’s at 6:37.

Party and Catering

The post-race party, hosted by McLoone’s Boathouse, will take place both outside (on patio and lower level grass) and inside (in Charles Room and by main bar area) the restaurant. There will be three (3) food and beverage purchase options available for teams and team members.

Food Vouchers– All company teams that purchase food vouchers for their employees will be served on race night via multiple buffet lines). One two sided buffet line will be on the outdoor patio (same place as in 2019) a second buffet line will be on the lower deck grass right in between the patio and the reservoir if needed a third buffet line will be set up inside of the Charles Room. Every company that purchases food vouchers will also be provided with reserved table seating. The first wave of food voucher purchasers will be seated on the outdoor patio, the second wave of food voucher purchasers will be seated on the lower level grass and if needed the third wave of food voucher purchasers will be seated inside of the Charles Room. Just like in 2019 each food voucher will include a draft beer which can be redeemed either at the outdoor bar or at the beer truck with multiple taps which will be located in the parking lot right next to the outdoor patio entrance.

Table Service– If your company desires to have table service, you will have a reserved table inside of the main dining room and will have a designated server for the evening. All table service customers will be able to order off the specially designed CFR race night table service menu. Please make sure to reserve your company table in advance.

A la Carte Purchases– All a la carte food and beverage purchases can be made throughout the night at either the outdoor bar on the patio or inside at the main bar. We will have both outdoor patio seating and indoor bar area seating available for all a la carte food and beverage purchasers.

Our DJ will be playing music from event start to finish. Our photographer will be taking team and individual photos which are free for all. Awards at 8-8:15pm for the fastest teams and individuals.

Parking:

Parking will be available at McLoone’s Boathouse with overflow parking available on the Essex County owned grass field directly across the road and down the road at the Turtle Back Zoo. Just like in 2019, Essex County police officers will be on-site to help manage the overflow parking.

Race Day Registration:

Any team member who misses the on-line registration deadline can show up on race night and join his or her team as a race night registrant. All others can also register on race night. All race night entrants unaffiliated with a team can sign up as a guest of the Corporate FunRun team, thus, all runners are welcome. T-shirts are not guaranteed to race night registrants.
